Basics of BIM ARCHICAD
BIM ARCHICAD :
ARCHICAD is an architectural BIM CAD software for Macintosh and Windows developed by the Hungarian company Graphisoft. ARCHICAD offers computer aided solutions for handling all common aspects of aesthetics and engineering during the whole design process of the built environment buildings, interiors, urban areas, etc..
Development of ARCHICAD started in 1982 for the original Apple Macintosh. Following its launch in 1987, with Graphisoft's "Virtual Building" concept, ARCHICAD became regarded by some as the first implementation of BIM ARCHICAD has been recognized as the first CAD product on a personal computer able to create both 2D and 3D geometry, as well as the first commercial BIM product for personal computers and considered "revolutionary" for the ability to store large amounts of information within the 3D mode.
Benefit ARCHICAD 23 enables architects to model faster and create accurate construction details and quantity estimations for reinforced concrete, complex steel, timber, and composite beams and columns. Complex columns, curved and haunched beams can now be modeled and documented to meet graphic and representation standards.
Almost fully multi-threaded, runs also on OSX, has a friendlier user interface and is oriented towards architects. It has a very well developed support for IFC, good drafting, layout approach and decent rendering. Also it has very flexible and efficient parametric objects (GDL objects don`t affect file size).
